Company Information

The Company Information screen is divided into two separate windows positioned side by side. The left window titled "Represented Companies" will display all the insurance companies that your agency represents. The right window titled "Company Plans" will display all the various rating plans within each Insurance Company.
Accessing:
1. From the Accounting menu, select Carrier Setup & Information. AgencyToday will display the Carrier Information screen.
Adding Insurance Company Information:
1. Click on the ADD CO. NAME button and the cursor will default in the Co.# field. Input a unique 3 digit company code and TAB.
2. Location Type: (Optional Field) Type of location. (Example - claims, accounting, etc.), then TAB.
3. Input the address, city, state, zip, phone numbers and your agency's code number.
4. SAVE.
Adding Multiple Addresses:
1. To add multiple addresses for an insurance company, first select the insurance company name from the list of represented companies.
2. Click on the ADD ADDL. CO. ADDR. button and the cursor will default in the "Location Type" field. Complete the rest of the input as in #2 & 3 above and SAVE.
3. By selecting any company listed, all locations for the selected company will appear in the list below the "Agency Code#" field.
Note: A record is required for each insurance company your agency normally writes business with.
Adding Company Plan Information:
For each insurance company name, there must be at least one plan record inputted. Your agency can have any number of plans for one company. With each plan, a 3 digit code must be assigned. The 3 digit code for the company plan can be the same as the insurance company code. When more than one company plan is entered, a different plan code must be used for each plan description.
Adding a Company Plan:
1. First click on the insurance company name under the represented companies list to select it.
2. Click on the ADD button from the company plan side.
3. The cursor will default in the "Plan#" field. Input the 3 digit plan code and TAB.
4. New Bus. Comm. - Enter the new business commission percentage.
5. Renew Comm. - Enter the renewal commission percentage.
6. Plan Description - Enter the name of the company plan.
7. Policy Term - Enter 6 if you normally write 6 month policies with this company or 12 if you normally write 12 month policies. (Note: This is just a default and can be changed on the application.)
8. Click on the check boxes for the types of insurance written (Auto, Property, Commercial, etc.) and applicable to each insurance company and plan. This will prompt Agency Today to display the correct Insurance Companies and Plans, when utilizing the Z Tab function.
9. Coverage limits can be inputted and will default in the Vehicle Dec. screen when the insurance company is selected. Leave the coverages blank when the default feature is not desired.
10. Important to SAVE when all of the information is completed.
Note: The Represented Insurance Companies and Company Plans can be edited, deleted and printed.
