Certificate of Insurance

Accessing:

1. "Find" the customer on the "Client Services" screen.

2. Click on the commercial policy that pertains, so it is high-lighted.

3. There are 2 ways to access the "Certificate of Insurance". 1st: Click on the "Forms" button located two-thirds down on the screen. 2nd: From the "Functions" menu at the top of the screen, select Forms.

4. AgencyToday will display another window of all the "Forms " options. Click on the circle also known as a "radio button" next to "Certificates".

5. AgencyToday will display the "Certificate of Insurance form" on the screen.

Inputting:

1. The "Selections" window will display. Select the appropriate coverage type. If there is more than one policy, a screen will appear allowing you to click on another policy and then select the coverage type for that policy. When finished making the coverage selections, click on the Close box of the "Selections" window.

2. The current date will be high-lighted. Tab through each field or click into a specific field to complete the form.

3. When all information is entered, click on the SAVE button on right side of the screen.

Certificate Holder List

To access the Certholder List, in the Certholder name field/box, type the first letter or up to first four characters of the name and TAB. AgencyToday will display the list. Click on the desired Certholder and AgencyToday will insert the name and address into this field. By placing your cursor at the beginning of the name, address, etc., use the enter key to drop the name, address, city, state and zip code into proper sequence. (The purpose of maneuvering the certholder name in this manner is to allow the flexibility of typing a lengthly name and/or address.)

Note: A new certholder can also be added from the list directly by selecting "Add New Lienholder". Type the name and address in one continuous line leaving one space in-between the name, address, city, state and zip code.

Printing:

1. Click on the PRINT button on the right side of the screen.

2. A window will display the print options available. Click on the radio button next to the option of choice.

3. While the certificate is printing AgencyToday will display a window asking "Do you want to add a diary item for this certificate?" If you need to put a follow-up or make a note pertaining to the Certificate, then click on the YES button, otherwise, click on the NO button.

Note: When you log on daily to AgencyToday, the system will display a window stating, "Loading current and past diary items for (name of the user)".

Retrieving an Existing Certificate of Insurance for One Insured/One Policy:

1. From Client Services "Find" the insured.

2. Select/high-light the policy the certificate applies to.

3. At the bottom of the screen is a button called "Saved Forms".

4. Click on "Saved Forms" and AgencyToday will pop up another window.

5. Select "Certificate of Ins."

6. AgencyToday will display all "Certificates Issued" for the insured.

7. To obtain copies of the certificate when there are no changes involved, click on the appropriate certificate and then the PRINT button or click on the appropriate certificate and AgencyToday will display the "Certificate of Insurance" screen to view or make any changes.

Retrieving Existing Certificates of Insurance by Group:

1. From any screen, click on "Main Menu".

2. Select "System Lists". Another list will display. Select "Certificate of Ins. Log" .

3. From the next window, the certificate can be located by date, insured or certholder name.

4. Click on the radio button that applies and type in the requested information.

5. Click on the OK button and AgencyToday will display the requested information.

6. To obtain copies of the certificate when there are no changes involved, click on the appropriate certificate and then the PRINT button or

7. Click on the appropriate certificate and AgencyToday will display the Certificate of Insurance screen to view or make any changes.
