Binders

Inputting the Binder:
1. Find your customer.
2. Click on the policy the binder will be added for.
3. Click on the
FORMS button located two-thirds down on the Client Services screen.4. A list of available forms will display. Click on
Binder.5. The binder will display with a Selection(s) window over the top. Click on the appropriate coverage.
6. After all of the coverages have been selected, click on the CLOSE box on the Selection(s) window.
7. The current date will be high-lighted.
8. Tab through or click into the desired fields to complete the binder.
Additional Ways to Access the Binder:
1. Select the "Functions"menu at the top of the screen.
2. Another window will display. Select "Forms Printing".
3. From the next window, click on the radio button next to binder.
4. AgencyToday will display "Selections."
5. Click on the appropriate coverage.
6. Tab through or click into the desired fields to complete the binder.
Inputting Additional Interest Name and Address:
1. To obtain the computer list, type in the first 1 - 4 letters of the additional interest/certificate holder's name and TAB. The list will display. Click on your choice and AgencyToday will automatically insert the name and address in the additional interest/certificate holder field.
2. The additional interest/certificate holder's name and address may also be typed in manually for a one-time situation. Remember to type it in one continuous line allowing one space in-between the name, address, city, state and zip. This allows the greatest flexibility in name length. In the output of the binder, the proper sequence is adjusted.
3. To ADD a new Additional Interest to the list select "Add New Lienholder". Type the name and address again in one continuous line leaving one space in-between the name, address, city, state and zip code.
Additional Interest Name and Address Alignment:
The purpose of the Additional Interest name and address being inserted in one continuous line is to allow optimum flexibility in typing a lengthly name and/or address. You can change or add to the Additional Interest name on the binder form for the output needed. To maneuver the name and address into proper sequence, please read the following steps.
1. Place the cursor at the beginning of the name, address, city, state and zip code lines.
2. Utilize the
"Enter" key on the keyboard to drop the desired line into proper sequence.3. After all information is completed on the form, click on the SAVE button.
Printing the Binder:
Click on the
PRINT button from the right columns of buttons on the screen. AgencyToday will display the printing options. Click on the option of choice.Retrieving an Existing Binder for One Insured/One Policy:
1. From Client Services "
Find" the insured.2. Select/high-light the policy the binder was inputted for.
3. At the bottom of the screen, click on the button called
SAVED FORMS.4. AgencyToday will pop-down another window.
5. Select "
Binder".6. AgencyToday will display all binders for the insured.
7. Click on the binder needed.
8. To obtain copies of the binder when there are no changes involved, click on the appropriate binder and then the PRINT button or click on the appropriate binder and AgencyToday will display the binder screen to view.
Retrieving Existing Binders by Group:
1. Select the
Lists pull-down menu.2. From this window, select
Binder Log.3. The
Binders Issued window will appear.4. Click on the Commercial radio button first.
5. The list can then be sorted/displayed by Date, Insured, Lienholder or Binder number.
6. To obtain copies of the binder when there are no changes involved, click on the appropriate binder and then the PRINT button.
7. Click on the appropriate binder and AgencyToday will display the binder screen to view.
Editing a Commercial Binder:
For E & O purposes, AgencyToday does not allow editing of the binder once it has been saved. When an editing change is required, follow the instructions in "Retrieving an Existing Binder". Once the desired binder is displayed, use the
DUPL button to entirely duplicate the binder and then make any necessary changes. The binder log will reflect two separate binders, the first one generated and the second one with the changes made.
