Commercial Policy Sections

How to complete Commercial Sections:

Due to the familiarity of the various Commercial Sections, our documentation concentrates only on the sections with information unfamiliar to the user.

1. After completing and saving the General Information Application form/screen, click on the section name to go to an existing section or to add a new section for the current policy

At the top of the screen is the menu "ACORD". Click on this menu and it displays the various Commercial Sections to make your choice. After AgencyToday displays the section of choice, you will be in EDIT mode and can TAB through or click directly to the various fields to complete the section.

Business Auto Section / Acord 127-S:

1. The input screen is condensed reflecting one page/side. There is no backside on the screen for inputting. (See Step #3.)

2. All information is complete regarding the input, except the vehicle descriptions and additional interests, which are inputted on the Vehicle Schedule screen. This provides a more efficient way to view the vehicles and additional interests.

3. The output (printing) will reflect a front and backside as in the actual Acord form. The first 5 vehicles will print on the Business Auto Section. Beyond the 6th vehicle will be printed on the Vehicle Section.

Vehicle Schedule Section / Acord 129-S:

Vehicle Description:

1. Cl# (client number) represents the vehicle numerical order used by the client.

2. Ag# (agency number) represents the vehicle numerical order used by the Insurance Company.

Additional Interests/Certificates:

1. To obtain the computer list, type in the first 1 - 4 letters of the additional interest/certificate holder's name and TAB. The list will display. Click on your choice and AgencyToday will automatically insert the name and address in the additional interest/certificate holder field.

2. The additional interest/certificate holder's name and address may also be typed in manually for a one-time situation. Remember to type it in one continuous line allowing one space in-between the name, address, city, state and zip. This allows the greatest flexibility in name length. In the output of the binder, the proper sequence is adjusted.

3. To ADD a new Additional Interest to the list, select "Add New Lienholder". Type the name and address again in one continuous line leaving one space in-between the name, address, city, state and zip code.

Coverages:

1. The breakdown of each coverage allows each premium to be defined. AgencyToday totals the premium automatically.

2. After completion, click on the SAVE button. AgencyToday again automatically drops the vehicle, vin # and additional interest/certificate holder information into the scroll window at the bottom of the screen and creates a list.

To Retrieve Vehicle Information:

1. Click on the vehicle of choice from the list and AgencyToday will display all information previously inputted.

Equipment Floater Section / Acord 146:

Adding Equipment Items:

1. At the bottom of the screen are three large buttons, select Add Equip. Item. The cursor will flash to indicate where to begin adding the scheduled equipment. When all information is completed, click on the OK button to the right of the Add Equip. Item/Edit Equip. Item/Delete Equip. Item buttons. The line of information will drop below. Select the Add Equip. Item again, to input the next equipment item, etc.

Editing or Deleting Equipment Items:

1. Click on the button of choice. Select the equipment item, so it is high-lighted and make any corrections or delete the equipment item. Click on the OK button to save the transaction.

Printing a Commercial Section:

1. Each section can be printed from the screen after all information is saved, by selecting the PRINT button.

2. A window will display the print options available. Click on the radio button next to the option of choice.

Printing a Group of Commercial Sections:

You also have the option of printing a group of commercial sections. From the Commercial Declaration page, select the ACORD pull-down menu. From the Acord menu select Print/List Sections. From the sub-menu select Show/Print All Sections. A list of all sections added will display. To select the sections you want to print, hold down the CTRL (control) key on the keyboard and then click on each section to high-light them. After desired sections are high-lighted, simply click on the PRINT SELECTED ACORD FORMS button to execute. (Note: you also have the option of not printing the back page of either the General Information Section or the Property Section if you choose. Simply click on the appropriate check box on the right side of the screen.)

NOTE: When the Business Auto section is selected, the Vehicle Schedule will also print.

Retrieving Commercial Sections:

1. From "Client Services" FIND the insured.

2. Select/high-light the appropriate policy.

3. From the "ACORD" menu at the top of the screen, select the section you would like to view and that section will display.

Note: The "ACORD" menu is also accessible from any Commercial related screen to return to the "Commercial Declaration page" screen.
